Ambulance expanded its
operations to include Palm Springs and its surrounding
communities in
2005.
Palm Springs has long been renowned as
a year-round premier vacation destination. The area offers
something for everyone: sunning, shopping, golfing, hiking,
biking, exploring, gaming, modern architecture, cultural and
ethnic events, tennis, nightlife, people watching, eco-tourism
and of course, the natural beauty of the desert region. The
hotels and resorts in Palm Springs are a celebration of style,
and a paradigm of diversity. Small bed and breakfasts and
charming country inns abound, and a range from modest to
exclusive, as do sunny resorts, secluded spa hotels, and
stunning conference centers. The communities in this region
continue to rapidly grow and there are several hospitals to
serve the area.
Mission Ambulance created its
Palm Springs Division in order to better serve this growing
community. Under the control of our main dispatch center in
Corona, our Palm Springs Division ambulances are coordinated
with our other Divisions, and ambulances are constantly moved
according to service demand and the needs of the various
communities we serve. Our goal is to maintain a presence in all
of our service areas and to shorten our response times for all
types of calls.
